Great Lawn
The Great Lawn, fringed with gardens and hovering over the Narrows and Hudson Bay, is at the center of all of the great events and community gatherings that happen in the Gardens. The annual Art in the Park, horticultural exhibitions and plant sales, and the summer’s Outdoor Cinema Series, all find the Great Lawn bustling with people in a party mood. In between events, a lazy summer day finds the Great Lawn is a great place to linger, read or converse, out of the way of baseballs and frisbees, and truly enjoying the beauty of the Gardens and the smell of the water.
