Directions

Whether you’re hopping on the subway, ferry, or getting here by car, NBG is easy to reach —with plenty of public transit options and street parking available.

How to get here

  • Subway: Take the R train to Bay Ridge Avenue station (served at all times). 

    From there you can walk 10–15 minutes west toward Shore Road, or connect with local buses:

    • B9 (Bay Ridge – Kings Plaza) stops near Shore Road/71st StreetMTA Bus Time

    • B27, B37, B64 also serve Shore Road near the gardens.

  • From the Belt Parkway:

    1. Take Exit 1 – 67th Street.

    2. Turn right onto Ridge Boulevard.

    3. Turn right onto Bay Ridge Avenue.

    4. Continue to Shore Road and turn left toward the gardens.

    Street parking is limited; pay attention to local signs and enforcement.

  • You can also reach Bay Ridge via the NYC Ferry South Brooklyn route (as of 2026 schedule):

    • Take the ferry to the Bay Ridge stop.

    • From there it’s a short walk or a quick local bus ride to Shore Road and the gardens (bus connections or a 10–15 minute walk west).

    Schedule and route availability can vary seasonally, so check the NYC Ferry website  before you go.
