Our Mission
The Mission of The Narrows Botanical Gardens is to create a place of rest and relaxation for the entire community by:
• Displaying gardens that will delight the public both visually and sensorially.
• Educating the public on horticulture and garden architecture.
• Teaching respect and preservation of our native flora and fauna to children and adults.
• Promoting the arts with free cultural events.
Narrows Botanical Gardens Grants!
We are very excited to announce that the Narrows Botanical Gardens is the recipient of two grants that will help the us further our mission of rewilding and expanding the native plant footprint in Bay Ridge, the borough of Brooklyn, and the NYC at large.

NYC Green Fund Grassroots Grant
This grant from Partnership for Parks will enable us to create our own Native Plant Nursery. We will be able to continue to cultivate and expand our native plant collection helping to restore the ecological system.

Community Partnerships Grant
This grant from Con Edison will help us further our community outreach with the 1x1 Native Plant Project providing education and native plant starter kits to our visitors for free.
