A Native Garden for the Library

Narrows Botanical Gardens partners with the Bay Ridge Library to bring a native garden to Ridge Boulevard.

As part of its commitment to community partnerships and outreach, Narrows Botanical Gardens recently donated and installed a native plant garden at the Bay Ridge Library on Ridge Boulevard and 73rd Street. The garden introduces visitors to plants native to our region while creating a welcoming green space for the neighborhood.

Projects like this extend NBG’s mission beyond the gardens themselves, helping bring ecological awareness and native planting practices into shared community spaces. Through partnerships with local organizations, the Gardens continue to support greener streets and a deeper connection between people and the natural environment.
