New Turtle Pond Completed

A restored turtle habitat in the NBG Wildlife Sanctuary creates a healthier space for native aquatic turtles and the surrounding ecosystem.

Narrows Botanical Gardens is pleased to announce the completion of a new aquatic turtle pond within the Wildlife and Turtle Sanctuary. The restored habitat provides a healthier and more natural environment for native turtles while supporting the broader ecological balance of the Gardens.

The project was made possible through generous support from the Lily Auchincloss Foundation, which funded the Native Turtle Pond Restoration. The new pond enhances the sanctuary’s role as a place where visitors can observe local wildlife while learning about the importance of protecting native species and maintaining healthy urban habitats.
